  1. Get 4 Drumsticks
  2. Prepare 2 Onions chopped
  3. Make ready 2 Tomatoes chopped
  4. Make ready 2 tbsp Malvani or garam masala
  5. Get 1 teaspoon Red chilli
  6. Get 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  7. Make ready 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  8. Take 1/2 Cup coconut paste
  9. Prepare 6-8 Kokum
  10. Take 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste
  11. Take 1/4 Tea spoon methi dana
  12. Prepare 2 Tej Patta /Curry patta
  13. Prepare 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  14. Get 1 pinch Hing
  15. Prepare 2 tbsp Oil
  16. Take as per taste Salt
Steps to make Shenga (Drumstick) Kokum Curry:
  1. Heat pan. Add oil. Add Cumin seeds, Methi Dana, Hing and Tej Patta(bay leaves)
  2. Add Onion saute till they turn translucent. Add ginger and garlic and fry along for a minute.Add chopped Tomatoes.
  3. Add Kala or malvani masala, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, Red chilli powder.Fry for 2 mins then add drumsticks.
  4. Add the coconut paste and Kokum. Fry till oil seperates. Add salt to taste.
  5. Cook the drumstick for few min in paste and when half cooked add water as required.
  6. Cover and cook till drumstick are cooked well.
  7. Serve it hot with chapati or rice.
